SoundVision

The Society for the Encouragement of Arts and Crafts presents SOUND VISION, a photographic exhibition by Giovanni Hänninen. “We see a world in full light, immersed in an enveloping light, with few soft shadows, rather dense with buildings that prevent us from perceiving the horizon, with a cloudless sky, a bit oppressive, the temperature must be high, humidity is also high.

There are pools of water, fountains, canals, there is no passing car, no passerby, there is only someone on the terraces, but it is not possible to talk to him, he is far away. Because the one who observes and takes pictures and lends his eyes to us is almost never involved in the place, has not approached or moved away from it and now looks at it from above “.

With these words Piero Orlandi describes the photographs of Giovanni Hänninen on display in the SOUND VISION project curated by Roberta Reineke.
