Librino

Contrary to the Vele described in Gomorra or the Zen district in Palermo, this neighbourhood was born to be a virtuous model of autonomous city destined to an affluent population looking for a new living space far from the chaos of the city.

Designed in the 1970s by Kenzo Tange and Urtec should have been a new model of city surrounded by greenery. An idea, an utopia that shattered already in the development phase with a series of changes to the projects and to the intended purposes. The district, even before the completion of the construction, has become a place to unload the worst of the city, to be then completely forgotten.
